Howdy folks!
Well, school has started, and with it has come our new hours. Now our hours of operation are Monday-Thursday from 5pm - 8pm, and on Friday-Saturday from 10am - 9pm, with Sundays still being closed. We've got some new fun stuff going on this month too! There is a colouring contest to win tickets to a "Wiggles" show. Also, there will be a Farm Festival at the Lethbridge Cornmaze on September 11. This should be a fun day filled with activities for the whole family. There will be pig wrestling, hay rides, pumpkin launching, a barbecue, facepainting, and a whole lot more! It's going to be a fun day!
Well here is the colouring picture, feel free to print it out.

This year's maze
Well, here it is: a picture of this year's maze. This year, the design is the "flying shoebox" symbol from Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child. Each of the circles that you see contain something that can be put in a shoebox for children living in poverty around the world. Also, you can see the words 'Samaritan's Purse' and 'Christmas Child' cut out in the maze. We will be doing a fundraiser for Samaritan's Purse later on in the year. The trivia this year also centers around Samaritan's Purse and the poverty that they work to relieve. If you make it out this year, be sure to try the trivia and learn something more about this organization that impacts many lives around the world. Well, that's all I can show you from here. If you want a better look, or better yet, an a-maze-ing experience, drop by and see it for yourself.
Until then, enjoy your summer.

Getting closer to the big day!
The weather is HOT! the corn is growing, the design is all cut out, and the big day is coming! It's almost July 31st, which means it's almost opening day. Starting July 31st we are open every Monday-Saturday in August from 10:00 in the morning to 9:00 at night, meaning we let people in until 9:00 and shut down at 10:00 pm. The critters are already getting excited about the hand-fed treats they'll get, and the staff is spreading straw on the paths to make it nice walking. The water guns are watering the cornfield, but no worries, it will be dry enough by Saturday! Oh, and guess who's coming out on Saturday as well? 94.1 FM (The Lounge) is sending out their 'Summer Events Cruiser'. Sounds like heaps of fun! See you soon!! Enjoy the heat.

The weather is warm and the corn is growing!
Hi again!
Summer is here and the cornmaze is winding up for another season! Well, thankfully there is lots of heat going around right now, and the corn is growing well. In fact, the maze is being cut out into this year's design this week. The design is still a secret right now, but the maze will be opening on July 31st this year, so you might just have to come out and see it. Opening day is only a month away! Well, that's all there is to say for now, while we wait for the corn to grow some more. Until then, enjoy the warm weather we're having!

Another Cornmaze Season

Sorry for my tardiness, I have not updated in quite a while! Well, it's almost the end of August, and another cornmaze season is in full swing. This year's design is the re-done spider web, with the words 10 YEARS LETHBRIDGE CORNMAZE designed into it, to celebrate our 10th anniversary. So far many of the guests who have come out to enjoy the cornmaze say it is a challenging design this year. With the many loops and dead-ends, you can be guaranteed to "Get Lost!" The maze has three different sections. The largest maze, appropriately called the Big Maze is the most challenging of the three. It takes an average of 45 minutes to get through, though it can take longer, or even less time. The Trivia Maze is much shorter, taking an average time of 15 minutes. This section of the maze has questions, so you can try to answer the trivia, and see where your answers lead you. The third and smallest maze is the Kid's Maze, which is great for kids (or adults) who want to be in the maze without getting too lost. In addition to the cornmaze, the petting zoo is also available, as well as the cow-train which is always a "barrel" of fun! If you would like to come out on one of these last few days of August, feel free to pop by any time Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. till 9:00 p.m. If you would rather wait until September or October, come on by Monday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. till 9:00 p.m., or holiday Mondays from 12:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. For a bigger challenge, come later in the day, and try doing the maze in the dark, and don't forget the flashlight! For more information, including pricing, school tours, and the picnic areas, look on the website www.lethbridgecornmaze.com or call (403) 381-3775. See you soon!

The Petting Zoo
Hi Everyone,
Since the weather is getting warmer, or at least it should be getting warmer, and all the animals are back outside after a winter in the barn. Well, guess what? That means that the petting zoo is open again! You can come out to the farm and pet all of the critters on any Friday or Saturday starting the May long weekend, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. The entry fee is $3.00 per person, and children under 3 years of age can get in free. Come on out and see the miniature donkeys, miniature horse, sheep, goats, bunnies, cows and calves, potbelly pigs, peacocks, llamas, and turkeys. It is a great opportunity for the whole family.
